Board-certified veterinary cardiologist Dr. Paulo Rivera will provide a cardiac examination and screening echocardiogram for breeding and non-breeding pets at risk for conditions such as HCM, DCM, and MMVD. Each pet will receive a written report by email. Individually sign up and pay for each pet.

About the event
WHO:
All evaluations (exam, screening echocardiogram with report provided) will be performed by board-certified veterinary cardiologist, Dr. Paulo Rivera, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology).
WHAT:
This clinic is open any breeding or non-breeding pet that is at risk or predisposed to heart disease (e.g. HCM, DCM, MMVD). An echocardiogram is the gold standard diagnostic tool to screen and diagnose heart disease and cardiomyopathy.
This clinic is NOT open to pets previously diagnosed with cardiac disease (congenital or acquired) or those on cardiac medications.
IMPORTANT: This clinic is not meant to establish care with Dr. Rivera, and is purely for screening purposes. If your pet is diagnosed with heart disease during the clinic, it will be recommended that a follow-up appointment be made with a cardiologist for complete cardiac evaluation and treatment. Cardiac Screening
Please complete a separate form and payment for each pet. You may pay in full now, or put in a deposit and bring the rest in cash. The fee includes the cardiac examination, echocardiogram, and written report. The OFA option is only for breeding animals requiring official cardiac certification through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. It is typically required by a breeder, breed club, registry, or CHIC program. It is recommended you pay in full if you need an invoice for insurance purposes.
