About the event
WHO:
All evaluations (exam, screening echocardiogram with report provided) will be performed by board-certified veterinary cardiologist, Dr. Paulo Rivera, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology).
WHAT:
This clinic is open any breeding or non-breeding pet that is at risk or predisposed to heart disease (e.g. HCM, DCM, MMVD). An echocardiogram is the gold standard diagnostic tool to screen and diagnose heart disease and cardiomyopathy.
This clinic is NOT open to pets previously diagnosed with cardiac disease (congenital or acquired) or those on cardiac medications.
IMPORTANT: This clinic is not meant to establish care with Dr. Rivera, and is purely for screening purposes. If your pet is diagnosed with heart disease during the clinic, it will be recommended that a follow-up appointment be made with a cardiologist for complete cardiac evaluation and treatment. As this clinic is simply for screening, no treatments will be dispensed. Since this is a fast-paced, low cost echo clinic, you will not directly meet…
